Gautam Gambhir Press Conference Live Streaming: When and where To watch India head coach speak ahead of BGT 2024?

India head coach Gautam Gambhir is set to hold a press conference today before departing to Australia for the upcoming Border Gavaskar Trophy 2024. The bilateral series has been amongst the mostly highly contested tournaments going around and has gained even more momentum this time around with World Test Championship Final qualification looming around. 

During the press conference, Gambhir is likely to be grilled by the media after the Men in Blue suffered the first ever Test series whitewash in home conditions under his watch. Gambhir is also likely to be asked about some of the selection calls that have been attributed to him for the Border Gavaskar Trophy squad including the addition of KKR pacer Harshit Rana and all rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy. 

Gambhir is also likely to shed some light about the availability of skipper Rohit Sharma for the 1st Test of BGT 2024 in Perth. Meanwhile, with pressure mounting on Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, Gambhir could be asked if the two veterans of Indian cricket will be extended an olive branch if they fail to perform once again in Australia. 

Recent reports have stated that Gambhir himself is under a lot of pressure from BCCI to deliver results. Reportedly, Gambhir along with skipper Rohit and chief of selectors Ajit Agarkar sat in front of BCCI secretary Jay Shah and President Roger Binny for a 6 hour marathon meeting dissecting the outcome of recently concluded New Zealand series. 

Another report by Hindi daily Dainik Jagran has suggested that Gambhir could lose control of the Indian team’s Test coaching role if India fail to perform in the Border Gavaskar Trophy. Gambhir is said to be replaced by a more traditional coach like VVS Laxman in Tests while the white ball coaching role could continue to stay with him.
